detection are the Walk and Turn and the One Leg Stand.

Walk and Turn
Walk and Turn is a test that has been validated through extensive research sponsored
by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The original research was conducted by the SCRI and used to develop the initial
curriculum showing this test was 68% accurate at detecting subjects at or above a 0.10
BAC.
Walk and Turn is a divided attention test consisting of two stages:
• Instructions stage
• Walking stage
