§ 10:162-6.6. Self help group involvement
The treatment plan for clients shall include some exposure to a self
help group. This may be accomplished by requiring a specified number of
monitored meetings, having someone from a self help group do a presentation, or
educating the client about group purposes and functions. In any event, a client
shall not be referred to a self help group without being given specific
orientation and education about self help group functions and purposes. Self
help group meetings shall not be substituted for individual or group sessions
during the 16 week minimum period.
